The observations had been made during 1968-1970 on biology of fish of Dentex species of north-west African coast. The isolation of features differing these species permitted to form semantic arrangement for their denotation. The age and length composition, weight and rate of growth in relation to species, region of fishing and depth of their residing had also been investigated.
