Gonad maturity, condition, and growth rate of bream were studied in 1974-1977. The models developed by von Bertalanffy and Szypuła were used to present the bream growth rate. No noticeable effect of heated water released by the “Dolna Odra” power station on the studied aspects of bream biology was observed. It is concluded that the economic size of the bream studied should amount to 1 kg (35 cm).
