The paper summarises a part of studies on Anisakis simplex (Rudolphi, 1809) larvae carried out in the Fish Diseases Department under the supervision of the late Dr Jadwiga Grabda. The experiment involved twenty eight Syrian hamsters assigned to three groups and fed the larvae. Anatomo-pathological changes in the experimental animals were assessed and some blood parameters analysed.
