Sopińska A., 1984. Effect of physiological factors, stress, and disease on hematological parameters of carp, with a particular reference to leukocyte pattern. II. Hematological results of stress in carp. Acta Ichthyol. Piscat. 14 (1-2): 121-139.

Effects of three stress-producing factors: capture, transportation, and starving on hematological parameters of carp blood were studied. Oxygen deficiency and crowding of fishes occurring on capture and transportation as well as a 21-week starving were found to considerably affect the hematological parameters examined, the effect being confirmed by statistical tests.
