Female of parasitic copepod Muglicola kabatai sp. nov. is described in detail, based on the material collected from Iraqi mugilid fish Liza abu. The new species differs from the other three, known species of Mugilicola mainly in the shape of the “trunk” and also in the proportions of the body as well as in the armature of legs and first antenna.
